Healing is radical.
This world has a powerful and effective way of making individuals feel like small specks of dust, both powerless and insignificant. Throughout history, culture, and time, humanity consistently repeats cycles of toxicity, carelessness, abuse, misunderstanding, and division. We stay in a loop, both against others and ourselves.
Then, there are those who are willing to break the cycle within themselves. We live in a world where healing is a radical act.
How dare we make room for…
processing,
digesting,
confronting,
accepting,
and evolving?
From a young age, we internalize the message that vulnerability is a sign of weakness. The healers? The lightworkers? The stewards? The activists? The starseeds? We are written off as the “black sheep” or “outcast” in the group, judged and perceived as not having a backbone. That couldn’t be further from the truth. In a culture of avoidance, misinformation, manipulation, and excess, those who choose to heal actually have the strongest backbone. Only seeking connection, understanding, compassion, and peace, we carry the weight of the world’s destruction without even realizing it. We may even lose sight of our core, which goes deeper than the physical realm of existence. We all have a spirit, a soul.
Although we are imperfect, our presence is valuable. The ways we navigate the world around us, nurture our wellness, show up, and treat others have an impact, whether we see it directly or not.
Yes, it can be disheartening to see the repetitive cycles of abuse, neglect, bigotry, prejudice, and loss.
That is why healing is radical.
Taking a stand to say, “This stops with me”.
Be the cycle breaker.
Don’t give up on making this world a better place.
It will not be in vain.
Sending love and light,
Cait A.
